CHOREOGRAPHER
BIOGRAPHY
David Scotchford is a choreographer and director creating inventive, emotionally connected movement for stage and live entertainment.
He currently works as an Install Director for Celebrity Cruises and previously spent several years as an associate to Tony Award–winning choreographer Warren Carlyle. During that time, he contributed to the development of numerous productions and workshops and served as Assistant Choreographer on the Broadway revival of The Music Man.
His choreography credits include international productions of Dirty Dancing across the West End, U.S. tours, and Europe, as well as In Tandem for RWS Step One Dance Company.
Originally a performer, David has worked internationally in musical theatre and film, with credits including Dirty Dancing (Dance Captain, Australia), Singin’ in the Rain (Australian and Asia Tour), Fame (Australia Tour), and Kylie Minogue’s Intimate and Live tour. He is a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC).
